Why does the Mayo Clinic feel it is necessary to offer evidence of its “patient first” philosophy?

If a business wished to cultivate customers in a new and unfamiliar foreign market, what evidence would they provide to assure those customers that the business cared about their (the customers’) welfare. Imagine the firm was a bank or a company providing insurance or financial services i.e. their “products” were intangible.

In a non-hospital, non-healthcare context write a couple of sentences to explain how collaboration between business functions can yield superior results
